The Tournament

ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT

Top players from around the world have earmarked Amsterdam in the first weekend of June as the place to be, during the 48th edition of the Amsterdam 7s rugby tournament. Throughout the sports park, in the grandstands and on the festival square, the relaxed atmosphere mingles with the determination of elite rugby. Exuberant, buoyant and welcoming. Day passes as of €15, weekend passepartouts €27.50, free parking and children under 15 get in for free.

HOME OF AAC RUGBY

The Amsterdam Rugby Club (known as AAC) has been organizing what is today affectionally  known as The Amsterdam Sevens since 1972. The teams consist of Internationals from both club professionals and young up and coming talent. Also several side events are held on the 31st of May: Project Turn-Over and the Dutch Rugby academies.

RUGBY VALUES

Despite all the action on the field, we strongly promote the social aspect of the tournament. We highly value all the intriguing stories behind the competing teams, and are very proud that every year players and spectators alike consistently meet up with old friends but continue to make new acquaintances and friends, at The Amsterdam Sevens.

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE

Our famous hospitality area which hosts great eating experiences, funky tunes, good food and of course fantastic Dutch beer, is where all this action and fun takes place.

LOCATION

For the Amsterdam 7s Rugby Tournament, we use every available square meter of the Sportpark de Eendracht, home to the Amsterdam Rugby Club (AAC) as well as the National Dutch XV with its great artificial playing surface, perfect for open 7’s.
