The Amsterdam Sevens is a tournament of International allure, with local, international and invitational teams taking part. The tournament is loved by supporters and players alike, who have been attending for years. Whoever has attended just once, is hooked. They become a ‘Giant of Rugby.’

Sportpark de Eendracht in Geuzenveld is a fantastic venue for our tournament.  This venue is home to the Amsterdamse Athletic Club Rugby and well as the National Rugby Union of The Netherlands. In June, extra tribunes as well as a VIP enclosure and several extra’s will be erected to support this year’s theme – ‘Giants of Rugby.’

The tournament takes place over three days. With three distinct competitions, one for Men, one for Women and one for Veterans, this year we even have a Women’s Vets competition! Various matches take place on any of the 12 pitches that the complex hosts. But from the quarter final stage onwards, all matches are played on the main pitch. This pitch is home to the National Rugby XV of The Netherlands, equipped with a public speaker system and digital signage, the matches will be controlled by professional referees.  For many rugby players in The Netherlands, this tournament is the perfect way to end their season, the ‘icing on the cake.’ There is enough room for everyone to relax and enjoy the rugby. In the hospitality area there are food tents and drinking holes in abundance, this is where players and supporters come together. Rugby is one family, even if you do not know or understand the rules.

Come to the Sevens, and bring your friends with you. Entry tickets for the day or the full 3day weekend are available.  And, as long as supply lasts,  ‘early bird’ discounted tickets can be purchased.
